To understand the information society and knowledge (SIC), it must have a global vision of the world and processes in it are present where information and the flow of information through technological developments in recent decades, are the cornerstone of our present lives and apparently future.
this crucial period of historical transition, resulting from the technological revolution communications, creates a false impression of our environment. Thus, various means have failed to fulfill the traditional function of transmission channel, to acquire a "value" added, covering each of the dimensions of exerting pressure on it. This has been the expansion of a world increasingly large and complicated, difficult to be tackled effectively, the large number of existing channels of information flow, giving us respite for analysis and processing and giving us the opportunity to capture changes in the communications map of the early twenty-first century.
The emergence of the SIC is a product of the new possibilities of transforming the digital information into economic and social value, useful knowledge, which entails the development of a complex industrial and commercial in which the know-how becomes the new currency, recognition and advancement, boosted by the settlement of this new social paradigm.
The downsizing of media and the primacy of information and knowledge existing in the current scenario is the result of technological convergence experienced in the telematics field, a field in which industrial society lives greater or lesser degree, to a new myth in the theoretical horizon, which is called information society and knowledge, which, according to Paul Valenti, "is not determined by the information technology and knowledge, is determined a new form of economic and social reasons for the development of ICT " ( http://www.campus-oei.org/revistactsi/numero2/valenti.htm ).

In this space-time that we, Being modern and postmodern coexist diffusely, and the constant clash with the changes in society echoes in our ego and alter ego, making compelling analysis of existing processes, product of today's global telematics. Being postmodern or current is to be in a world moving steadily into the unknown, giving way to another stage, where the dilemma is greater because it comes from external uncertainties to nature, if not, employing Giddens, quoted by Brunner of "manufactured uncertainty."
Just as information and communication technologies (ICTs) are changing the conception of Being, are also mutating relationships between companies, markets, capital and culture. This change has strengthened the economic model that begins to prevail globally, in which the breaking of space-time is causing a redefinition of society, making emergence of a generation of individuals influenced by this new social form, a consequence of new tax codes ICT bringing new relationships of domination and influence of the sectors in power within society.
