NATIONAL INTEREST HELD BY THE MINISTRY OF LABOR AND SOCIAL SECURITY
UNIT-Standard ISO 26000, Guidelines for Social Responsibility, is the result of international consensus among experts and representatives; expressed the feelings of the various interest groups (business, government, consumers, workers, NGOs and other
) more 100 countries, about which were the best practices applied in Social Responsibility, so that will undoubtedly be the universal benchmark for excellence in the field.
The standard defines social responsibility, principles, and indicates the issues to be addressed by an organization to operate in a socially responsible and guidance to help them turn good intentions into good deeds, made
society demands more and more.
The development of ISO 26000 was launched in 2005. The project was carried out by a Multi-Sectoral Working Group (ISO / WG SR).
Uruguay, participated actively in its development through the Committee UNIT mirror worked with representatives from more than 40 organizations (see www.unit.org.uy / rs )
