President of the Federation Venezolana de Futbol (FVF), Rafael Esquivel, said at a news conference they are in talks with Mexico to increase the number of preparatory meetings in June, which now includes up to Spain at home on June 7.
"We are negotiating the dispute of a match against Mexico on June 12 in Los Angeles, taking advantage of that will go into a phase of preparation for the Copa America in Dallas, confirmed the ruling.
This is the third game between Venezuela and Mexico in less than a year. On 2-2 October 2010 in Ciudad Juárez and last March drew 1-1 in the U.S. city of San Diego.
Venezuela coach Cesar Farias had, in their planning, the option of playing at home with Asian teams like China and Iran, but both proposals fell by the length of travel.
"It was difficult to play in Iran or China principle because those are just a few days extensive travel to play the Copa America," he said.
